THE LAST VOYAGE

Many geometric descriptions to display the true image of sobriety. Many shapes and sizes of tales and alternatives. Options to keep us home. The loss of self control and wander amongst our undesirable decisions. Precisions will evade us carelessness will prevail? Deciding to relapse and dive into the life of sorrow. Forgetting that we only care about avoiding trivial amounts of boredom and no concern for ourselves. Swim in the life of evil in the depths far too great to save us. No one can swim the high tides of relapse. Each time in the morning after we chisel away a piece of ourselves and our brain. After a period of time all is left is a small discarded and worthless matter floating and tossing on the sea of life. After a long time it sinks to the bottom then no one cares anymore. Climb aboard the king ship for a luxurious relapse cruise. We won’t brag about our adventure. How much will we remember after the shipwreck on our return home? Often times the ship cannot be repaired. Tossed into a corner to decay beyond use.

LASTING IMPRESSIONS

Attending addictions use sessions will not be a priority in the study of morality. If we had listened, read more, loyal to it’s teachings, we never would have been interested in addictions at all. We would have been told by the lessons learned from morality what is ahead of us. We missed that learning. Either we never knew about prevention or thought the risk factor was never present. Ethics is our sense of right and wrong. The right way is to respect ourselves or not at all. Lifestyles included. The right ones, the wrong ones. What’s your priority now? Often times we don’t take the first step is because we think it’s too hard to do. Beyond our ability. We’re talking about sobriety and focusing on an activity to make better use of your life. We trek on through life’s narrow path. We fall down the slope to the rocky bottom. Climbing to the top again to prove to ourselves it takes courage to climb up the slope. Struggling and climbing upward is leaving the addictions life behind us. Why would anyone want to leave the safety of sobriety to dwell in a dangerous den of snakes?

COMPARING

We compare the cost of living to the cost of dying. Seems like only the rich people can afford to go and the rest of us have to stick around and sweat it out. Compare the cost of addictions use to the cost of losing our good health and the brain damage that will never recover and how to survive in life with next to nothing to think with. All we can give for a reason for this is that we didn’t have the time to take care of our health we were too busy destroying our brain. Don’t take a genius to see that sobriety is the better choice. With addictions use the more you use the less brain you have left. With sobriety all of your brain stays healthy. Wealthy people have lost all their money, possessions, and health from addictions and some of the rich were so far gone all their millions could not save them. Some were found in institutions, alleys, prisons, and some found dead in their luxury home. Because of their addiction some went from rich to poor then to the grave and some in the past were less than 40 years old. Riding high then to a painful death. Stop addictions now or this will be you. The story was that a man wanted to live a wealthy life then drug use. People warned him of the dangers but he ignored it. As for his millions the next person got it and not one person ever visited his grave not even the one who received the money. If you stayed sober you would be enjoying your castle now instead of the grave.

FRAGMENTS

Fragments of knowledge meandering in our midst. With lessons learned from our mistakes of the past. The years are long gone but the joyous memories and the bitter moments will always remain. The story of life may not be a pleasant one at times as long as it’s true. We live a better life when it’s filled with truth. Is always best to live an honest life. Never be dishonest about ourselves.

I’m the one that’s got to die when it’s time for me to die.so let me live my life the way I want to. The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye. The story of love is hello and goodbye. Until we meet again.

ESSENTIALS OF BOREDOM

The thought of boredom think of something comes immediately after. Motivates us to search for solutions to overcome it. Methods to prevent it from returning. Without boredom we miss our essential creative thinking. Perhaps the thoughts and interest in relapse will never come to mind. Boredom doesn’t have to be staying home and sitting on your hands or talking to your shoes. Unless you want to. Find a dull and boring book and say to yourself “I can write better stuff than this”. Do it. Stay home and be a blogger. Then watch your boredom disappear. This is how bloggers are created. Your own creation. Something to pass the time. Being sober is the main focus. Who wants to read a post from a drunk blogger. I’ll bet not even you.

MAKING CHANGES

The recovery process is separated into four unique and essential groups. It appears simple enough but when we choose to elaborate we will discover examples we will further adapt to our present life and make changes. From the old to the new.

The first part of the growing process we surrender to the power of morality.

The second part we accept and absorb the power the teachings of morality has to offer.

The third part is where we find harmony. To be at peace with ourselves and relate it to other persons.

The fourth part we gather all the previous three parts and experience our maturity.

STANDARDS

I don’t fit in with someone else’s standards but I fit in with mine. We don’t want to bend ourselves into a pretzel trying to fit in. Self-acceptance goes a long way because we like the way we are and how we crafted ourselves. Self-esteem is the core of our existence and all the improvements that came after. We compose, produce, arrange, and perform our unique creation. Perform it to the world like a symphony. It all started because we wanted to improve ourselves. We believed it could be done. Our performance becomes spontaneity of our daily practice. Like an old saying “Practice makes perfect”. We have to keep practicing if we want to see our improvement.

DIVERSIONS

I am content because my sobriety continued on for many years. My craving and interest never returned. I keep thinking about the way my drinking life was and the fear of returning to it. This is what made me find diversions to direct my thoughts to focus on better subjects. By using this method my thoughts of my previous life began to fade. I don’t see these images much anymore. I don’t like to think about the bar scene. I spend more time thinking about subjects that make sense. If you use this method it will push out the thoughts of relapse. It worked for me. Is how I stayed sober for 41 years. Sobriety is by far a better diversion than relapse.

WHIRLWINDS

Caught up in a circle of wind that surrounds the addictions world. Movements in rotations the addictions life is an endless spinning cycle. Tiredness and fatigue and slurred speech is the official lingo of the life. The thrill ride is not as fun as we though it was going to be. Thoughts of the present distorted life. Close up bar scenes and confused thoughts. Never an image of a better life. Until we had too much. Dead and numb our thinking process to choose is turned off. We need to jump start our lives to create a better one. The need for serious changes is a definite plus if we want to avoid the future disasters. Finding a life in the calm after the storm is our own personal choice. Sobriety was mine. The whirlwinds of confusion should teach us a lesson by observing other people around us. How to avoid the storm. And not wanting to be like them. Out of the storm and into the serene.
