WILLING TO LEARN

If you are not willing to learn. Refusing and not ready to take life serious. All drinkers are guilty of this. Me included. The illusion of drinking is a fascinating career. I used to think so. No one can help you. In our present drunken situation no one can help us. Not even ourselves. We need to be willing to change to see a difference in ourselves. If you decide to learn, no one can stop you. I decided to quit drinking and I had the energy to make it work. More than anything I wanted a sober life. No matter how much I had to struggle I never wanted to return to alcohol consumption. Nothing stopped me. Offers of drinks I always refused. Because I still remember the previous drinking episodes. I wanted to learn how to stay sober. I did. Replace all the bar scenes and focus on a future. Something to learn well enough to get a job in it. Already have a job? Then study sobriety and make a career of it. People will forget what you said and did. But not the way you made them feel. Not true at all. Forgive yourself. Others will follow. Being sober is not possible for you? It is possible. All you have to do is decide to want to. Learning better will follow after.
