All drinkers convince themselves that drinking is a good life. We live the life we created. We only have ourselves to blame what happens to us during our sober hours. While drinking we have all the answers. During our recovery time we cry in our lap. Pretending to be strong and taking it like a man. Be honest and tell your friends how weak you really are. Tired of the weakness and failures and all the lies we always told. To cover up the strange feeling that it creates in us we need to drink. Like it’s a curtain or veil to hide our immaturity from the world. Drinking tells stories about us. We can run to the shelter and comforts of booze but we can never hide the truth within. The day will arrive that we will convince ourselves we no longer want this silly pretend living. If this creates bitterness within us it is a good thing. With this feeling being carried around inside us why go out and drink and create more? End the bitterness. Create a sober life.
