Hello readers. I have been away from my desk rehabilitating a foot condition. I have been out of the saddle healing up my saddle soars and now I am back in the saddle working on new ones. I will be missing off and on but I will get back to you when I can. Thanks for waiting.

A good life makes a man wise according to god and gives him experience in many things.For the more humble he is and the more subject to god. The wiser and the more at peace he will be in all things. If you consider what peace a good life will bring to yourself and what joy it will give to others. I think you will be more concerned about your spiritual progress. The 12 steps is spirituality based. I have tried many products and as many ideas to cope with my issues as a drinker. The only solution was rehab. We all know that drinking and hanging out in bars will not give us the peace of mind that only rehab will do for us. What is the problem with some people? Drinkers know they have a drinking problem so why not go? Do you actually think you do not have a problem? Drinking disrupted my whole life and I would say I do not have a problem? You have drinking problem. Start being the wise man.

A good life makes a man wise according to god and gives him experience in many things. For the more humble he is and the more subject to god , the wiser and the more at peace he will be in all things. When reading the scriptures seek profit rather than polished diction. Writing about our religious experiences in a plain simple format written by a simple man with no intention to use persuading ideas to make us believe a basic truth is only a half truth. Sobriety is a simple knowlege filled truth not a half baked definition made up by a person who never believed in being sober. Always believing that drinking was always the better life. An expert on sobriety that never would let himself do it. Sobriety is not complex does not require a college degree to navigate. Relaxed and with the presence of peace of mind and a gladness of the drinking life being finally over. The person who encourages people to drink and use addictions offers us grief and a lifetime of problems. Do we prefer half baked bread with a meal of addictions or bread baked by an experienced baker who lived the sober man.

When we plan for a few days for a night out we have the vision that this night and morning after will be a carbon copy of the last. Strange as it sounds this is a plan to us. The night is fast approaching and we arrive at the bar or party on the spot to start it off. Rarely our night ends sober. It happens but not often enough. Our drinking has started and our careless behaviour has begun. To be honest this is not a plan. Just out of control hooliganism. It is o.k. to have a wild party but stay sober. This eliminates the confusion as to why we plan for night after night with same results the next morning. Hangover and sick and constant complaining. We make plans for the night out and the morning after. Expert planners so far. To add to the mixed bag of mysterious results and hangover remedy concoctions. All adds up to the perfect recipe for another problem to add to our weekly Saturday night binge resume. This is our travel plan that we used for so many weekends. we saved up our losses. We traded them in for a bonus trip. We have all our bags packed and ready for the road. Upon our arrival to our destination we plan a few nights on the town. The saved up losses made this trip possible so we want to give it a special name: “Homeless Nights”.

Necessary means unavoidable. It means we have to have it inside our bodies or tragic results can happen. If we have the wrong items in our bodies the same results will happen. Water,for example,is an item we need to have or else illness. Issues happen to our bodies while drinking for any length of time. It is unavoidable that we need a cure. sobriety is the best cure. Lack of good food not like pizza everyday of the week. When an illness happens we stop drinking for awhile to eat good food. Stop making our minds ill and put some education in it. Stop aggravating your friends and everyone around you and stop tormenting yourself. Give up the booze and straighten up and don’t wast time thinking about how boring sobriety will be. It does not matter how boring sobriety is. The point is to improve your brain before you lose it permanently. Lack of water dehydrates the body. Addictions dehydrates the brain. What is necessary? Sobriety or the loss of mind and body?

As I sit in the slightly cool warm night waiting away the silent boring hours I observe a mix of shaded observations. I noticed a movement that relates to the true,honest,and yet puzzling world around us or at least similar. The night creatures ,like some bugs and beetles,come out after dark to pursue their needs. Crawling in the neon reflections,street lights,and at times the moon. Walking and stopping to see the view of the interesting night sky formations. “I looked in this direction many times but it looked only this way once”. People,like drinkers,have a similar routine. Waiting for the darkness to emerge . We walk through the night looking and searching for surprises. Beetles with their own night carousing people with our own. This is the drinking life. Happy with our nocturnal presence like all things nocturnal.

The fragments of life’s failures arrive unannounced with the shroud covering rarely seen only felt. Like a film on the skin as thick as a summer dew. Not to refresh but to annoy us. The cracked mirror makes us look the way we feel. Each line creating cross eyed double vision to twice enjoy the present agony for drinkers now and also later to come. I felt for most of my life I am the dry parched remains still walking among the living but never accomplished any progress. The cracked mirror is us who let our lives go to fragments and not try to mend them. Replacing the cracked mirror only the disillusioned will see the cracked lines. While the devoted to the sacred will see a clear image. Without the invisible annoying feel of film build up on our skin called “The intentionally misguided ” all addictions have caused us.

People praise the bible and praise the life of foolish pleasures on earth. Give up our drinking and other addictions to follow the teachings of Jesus. With our heart and soul not just with our mouths. resign all earthly pleasures to Jesus and devote His teachings to sobriety and helping others. Make a commitment and don’t straddle fences. Thinking about quitting and continue to drink is straddling fences. He who follows Me, walks not in darkness, says the Lord. By these words of Christ we are advised to imitate His life and habits, if we wish to be truly enlightened and free from all blindness of heart. Let our chief effort,therefore,be to study the life of Jesus Christ. Now,there are many who hear the Gospel often but care little for it because they have not the spirit of Christ. Alcoholic Anonymous is spirituality bases. Getting closer to the teachings of Christ will keep us focused on a sensibility based learning. To constantly improve us and a solid understanding of why the bible and sobriety is more essential than the drinking life.

For true heavenly wisdom-not to think highly of self and not to seek glory on earth. As many men praise it with their mouths but shy far away from it in their lives. Yet this heavenly wisdom is a pearl of great price,which is hidden from many.
