DRY JANUARY

Dry January by Alcohol Change UK was first started in 2013. Noticing the health benefits of sobriety many followers have decided to stay sober for years seeing how good it is. Alcohol Change UK is a British charity and campaign group that was founded in 1984 whose aim is to reduce the harm caused by alcohol.

There is also the Dry January Challenge. Since the beginning of the program many countries have been doing the same thing.

ONE OAR IN THE WATER

The life of booze is trying to navigate your destination with only one oar in the water. Just one binge is proof enough that sobriety makes better sense and too embarrassing to deny it also to include absurd. You will see what I mean when you have a few too many drinks it will show in your speech and in your actions. Rowing with only one oar in the water you will keep turning in circles and will become dizzy even after leaving the boat you will experience this when sobering up. One oar is for the life of booze both oars is for living sobriety. Both oars in the water we will travel a straight line and will see our destination ahead. Booze is one oar in the water a life of dizziness and headaches unlimited and bound for insanity with no return all because we believed that booze was the best fun we can have. The fun stops when our brain does as it applies to many boozers but not for you if you live a sober life. Early morning sun and a slow boat ride for the exercise and many small discoveries along the way is the best way to live sober. Forget about the one oar lifestyle of booze and grab the second oar and keep your life on a steady course. Any person who lives an unorganized life doesn’t have both oars in the water staggering and confused and don’t care about their life but this can end when you find a better way to live like staying sober.

The next time you take a boat ride on your next night out take both oars

BROODERS

A person who broods depressed about something we can’t stop thinking about. Being sober doesn’t bring the blues into our lives we bring it into our sobriety. Feeling grateful that our addiction is finally gone makes us feel we are stepping into a joyous world and the past negatives are not allowed. This control will be the creation of that energy the constant spirit of celebrating that never ends. There is nothing positive in the life of booze same with our lives as long as the alcohol remains inside us. A healthy attitude will keep sobriety alive as well as our mind without it will fade quickly. We sit and mope and cuss about our days of being sober then go out and get drunk and cuss about our hangover. This is the routine between binges but those days are long gone sobriety is better for us. Every sobriety will be successful by not brooding over a lost drunken social life. There is no such thing as drunk and social life. Being better off without it why waste time feeling miserable and depressed because it has ended. Don’t let your past dictate your future. Drinking and being sober is not your sources of happiness? What is? The sobriety we once had was the most important of all the values we had and when we gave it up there was nothing of value we had thought was more important than booze so depression smothered us. Our important values made us turn away from booze most important is our sobriety and our moral life and living both will not depress you any further. The joy of the sober life waits to be experienced so step right in no brooding allowed.

Leave the brooding at the curb and get on with your day

SOBER TRAIN

Climb aboard the sober train carrying us away to better life and let it ride. Leave the grief bound life of booze behind us. Pumped up on booze and miss the joys of Christmas and prefer the suffering of being drunk. This is your chance for the good life ahead so take it or the train will leave without us. Too much thinking about booze turns into a plan and talk ourselves into doing it. Sobriety is a good plan all riding on the sober train to the same place to live a sober life and the ride never ends. The stubbornness of boozers and bad scenarios of life with no effort or interest to improve then we remain the same and more booze awaits. Drinking booze always makes us feel poor and in time we become paupers poor of money, spirit, and knowledge in sobriety we feel we became rich with much common sense. The sober train is a lifetime ride if we choose it to be steady flow of learning about ourselves and amaze ourselves how much smarts we really do have that was always hidden by a brain pickled in booze being no use to us at all. Why refuse to walk away from this? Being pickled excite you? Enjoying it? If not then get on the sober train and no waiting just stay sober is all it takes to ride on the sober train for as long as we live. Nothing is easier than sobriety I do it every day for years and the excitement of the ride never wears off and the train never gets crowded and always guaranteed a seat for as long as you stay sober.

Get on that sober train and let it ride until you die
